Fireball Whiskey Balls

  • Author: Eloise
  • Total Time: 1 hour 15 minutes (includes chilling)
  • Yield: 30 balls (about 10 servings) 1x

Description

These no-bake Fireball whiskey balls are a quick, boozy, and crowd-pleasing party treat with a punch of cinnamon heat, chocolate, and a nutty crunch. Perfect for holidays, cookie swaps, or any celebration, they come together in under 20 minutes and are endlessly customizable.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 11 oz (about 310g) vanilla wafers, finely crushed
  • 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar, plus extra for rolling
  • 1/4 cup (25g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup (120g) chopped pecans or walnuts, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey
  • 3 tablespoons (45ml) light corn syrup
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • Optional: 1/3 cup (60g) mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Crush the vanilla wafers in a food processor or by placing them in a zip-top bag and crushing with a rolling pin until finely ground.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cookie crumbs, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, chopped nuts, and a pinch of salt. Stir until evenly mixed.
  3. Add the Fireball whiskey and light corn syrup to the dry mixture. If using, add ground cinnamon, orange zest, or mini chocolate chips.
  4. Mix with a spatula or clean hands until the dough holds together when pressed. If too dry, add a splash more whiskey or syrup; if too wet, add more crumbs or powdered sugar.
  5. Portion the dough using a small cookie scoop or tablespoon and roll into 1-inch balls between your palms. Place on a parchment-lined tray.
  6. Roll each ball in additional powdered sugar (or cocoa or sprinkles) to coat, tapping off excess.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to set and allow flavors to meld. Serve chilled.

Notes

Crush cookies very finely for best texture. Adjust wet/dry ingredients as needed for a dough that holds together but isn’t sticky. Chill before serving for best flavor. For gluten-free, use GF cookies; for nut-free, use extra crumbs or coconut. Store in fridge up to 2 weeks or freeze for longer storage.
