My Culinary Journey

Growing up in my grandmother’s kitchen in the countryside of Vermont, I learned that cooking isn’t just about following recipes; it’s about understanding the story each ingredient wants to tell. Surrounded by her herb garden and the majestic oak trees that have stood for generations, I discovered my passion for seasonal, sustainable cooking.

After studying culinary arts in Paris and working in farm-to-table restaurants across New England, I realized my true calling wasn’t in professional kitchens—it was in bringing the joy of natural, thoughtful cooking back to everyday home cooks. That’s when Eat Oak was born.

Today, from my restored farmhouse kitchen where those same oak trees whisper outside my window, I create recipes that honor the traditions I learned while embracing the innovations that make cooking accessible to modern families. Every dish I share carries the wisdom of the seasons and the warmth of generations past.

Life Beyond the Kitchen

When I’m not cooking, you’ll find me exploring the things that inspire my recipes

🌿 Foraging: I love exploring the woods around my home to discover wild herbs, mushrooms, and edible flowers that find their way into my seasonal recipes.
📚 Cookbook Collecting: My kitchen library spans three generations of family recipes plus treasures from farmers’ markets and travels around the world.
🏡 Home Preservation: Canning, fermenting, and preserving allow me to capture the essence of each season and enjoy peak flavors year-round.
